Why Chris Paul is yet to succeed in the NBA post season

Chris Paul is one of the most accomplished point guards to ever play in the NBA. His accomplishments go beyond the box score. His leadership has brought success to every franchise he’s been a part of.

Although the lack of an NBA a championship doesn’t diminish his great career, it will solidify it.

Winning a championship is difficult but CP3 has had his opportunities to win one. Injuries have been an issue in some cases but the one thing that stands out is him getting in his own way

His idealistic and perfectionist approach to the game has worked in the regular season everywhere he’s been. Passing up a good shot for the best shot. Getting everyone involved and being the floor general.

In the post season he has to be the superstar that makes the difference for them to succeed. His reluctance to take over in scoring is him getting in his own way. His average FGA is 15 throughout the playoffs. This is a low figure compared to what every other superstar. Here is a list for comparison( finals)
